Dreamend is a Savannah-based shoegazer musical group signed to Graveface Records, whose music is characterized by textured guitar work and prominent drums and percussion. Song styles range from post-rock to bluegrass. The group has been compared to groups such as Mono and Explosions in the Sky.

Dreamend is the main musical output of Ryan Graveface, Graveface Records’ owner/sole employee. He also contributes musically in the psychedelic band Black Moth Super Rainbow (BMSR), the Halloween band The Marshmallow Ghosts & The Casket Girls. Since its inception in 2002, Graveface has released albums by Monster Movie (ex-Slowdive), The Loose Salute (Mojave 3 side project), Kid Dakota, Appleseed Cast, Whirr, Mount Eerie, BMSR, and many more.

Kid Dakota

Kid Dakota is the musical moniker of Darren Jackson. Formed in 1999, Kid Dakota released two albums on LOW’s Chairkicker’s Union – So Pretty (2002), and The West is the Future (2004) – and two albums on Graveface Records – A Winner’s Shadow (2008), and Listen to the Crows As They Take Flight (2011). He is currently working on his fifth album, Denervation, which will be released on Graveface Records on 02/10/2018.

Darren is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, engineer, teacher, and producer. He owns and operates Shortman Studio in Northeast Minneapolis. In addition to creating and recording music, he is currently a Ph.D. student in ASPECT(Alliance for Social, Political, Ethical, and Cultural Thought) at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His areas of research are early twentieth-century avant-garde film, film theory, and philosophy.

Tennis System
Los Angeles transplants Tennis System once had a reputation for shutting down shows with their relentless wall of noise. Fast-forward two years, and fans are flocking to their noisy, dreamy pop – think remnants of Nirvana and the Jesus and Mary Chain, with hints of the romanticism that makes Wavves and Best Coast so addictive.

Kyle Motl
Kyle Motl is a bassist, composer, and improviser active in a number of ensembles and settings crossing idiomatic boundaries as wide as free jazz, contemporary concert music, and extreme metal. Current work and interests include the exploration of complex sonic spectra via extended techniques on the contrabass, recursive and generative structuring, and electroacoustic performance.

New Fumes (opening the evening at 6pm)
Daniel Huffman is the sole creative force of NEW FUMES. Huffman has lent his talents to a multitude of diverse bands. He was a member of the 90s space rock outfit Comet as well as the Bitches Brew-loving improv group Ghostcar, and he’s been a touring guitarist for the Polyphonic Spree. He’s been part of the touring entourage for and a collaborator with the Flaming Lips…
NEW FUMES is not so much a one-man band, but rather a one-man multi-media installation. With a live show that features video projections for each song, Huffman’s attention to detail provides an infinitely-dimensional experience for the listener on record and on stage. -Good Record Recordings
