An evening of performances from Andrew Weathers, Sarah Ruth Alexander (solo), and Monte Espina

7:30pm, music starts right at 8pm
$10 suggested donation, no one turn away from lack of funds.

Weathers plays guitar and banjo with occasional electronic augmentation. Weathers’s music blurs composition, improvisation, and appropriation, taking key elements from folk, experimental, and punk traditions.

Sarah Ruth Alexander is a diverse musician and artist – a multi-instrumentalist, she employs hammered dulcimer, harmonium, electroacoustic sound art, and extended vocal techniques. She performs frequently in the North Texas area and beyond, both solo and with multiple bands and improvisational ensembles. She is a University of North Texas graduate where she focused on vocal studies and electroacoustic composition.

An electroacoustic free improvisation duo consisting of Ernesto Montiel and Miguel Espinel, both born in Venezuela, but met in the Dallas-Denton Axis experimental music scene. The group focuses on the use of amplified sounds and signal processing to generate instantaneous soundscapes and musical forms.
